Kings 19:12) and be led by His Spirit (Romans 8:14). Romans 12:9 tells us we are
we are to love genuinely, hate evil and hold on to what is good and keep our eyes
fixed on the Lord Jesus who is the author and perfector of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
The Bible tells us that before Lord Jesus Christ returns to judge the living and the
dead and to reveal His Kingdom (2 Timothy 4:1), in these last days, violent self-
driven behavior along with social and environmental chaos will be seen (Matthew
24; 2 Timothy 3;2 etc.). Satan and his demons will attack Christians and society at
large (Revelations 20). We need to pray daily to recognize these attacks, replace
lies and resist demons through prayer in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ - the
name above all names (Philippians 2:8-11; Colossians 4:2). Pray to hold fast to
truth and love. You are blood brought child of God, raised with the Lord Jesus
Christ in the heavenly realms and you share His authority over these dark enemy
powers (Ephesians 2:6; Colossians 3:1 etc.). We are to submit our lives to the Lord
Jesus Christ making Him the centre of our lives. Because we have come to fullness
of life in Him who is the name above all names and the head of all powers we can
resist evil attack on our lives (Colossians 2:10). We may not always recognize evil
attack at first but when we do, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can resist
the evil one who must then flee (James 4:7).
It is important to meet and fellowship regularly with Christians who accept the
Bible - the Word of God to us. Not all accept the whole Bible as inerrant, God given
truth and we must be careful. In these last days some, including Bible teachers and
pastors, take away from, add to or distort the Bible by accepting the thinking of
unbelievers - especially about God as miraculous seven day creator. The teaching
of creation is the foundation of the Gospel and when it is removed the Gospel of
God’s great plan of salvation becomes confused - causing the Bible to be doubted,
its authority over our lives questioned, criticized and selectively ignored. The
person and work of Christ and His salvation history are also distorted and even
destroyed.
Some add to the Gospel by interpreting false spiritual experiences as being from
the Lord Jesus Christ -particularly second spiritual baptism, speaking in tongues,
healing and prophecy as taught by the hugely influential Charismatic movement. 2
Peter 3:17-18 tells all Christians to “…be on guard so that we are not carried away
by error and fall from steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our
