Living Life As A Little Child

If you live life as a child, you relate to God as Abba Father. You
relate to him as Papa, or as Daddy. If you are childlike, he is no

longer simply God to you. You’ve been transformed by renewing

               your mind.

Too many Christians live life relating only to ‘God.’ It is difficult
to have a close relationship with a ‘God.’ Jesus and Paul both

also call him ‘Abba’ and ‘Father.’ This is important.

Abba comes first. As a child we relate to God as ‘Abba.’ Then,

as we mature, we relate to God more as ‘Father.’

Here’s something I wrote years ago,
in another book, but I often repeat it.

It has been very thought-stimulating to some people.

“The gospel is about a Father who loves us more than we can ever
possibly begin to imagine. As his children, we come to know him as

‘Abba Father,’ and we fall in love with him more than we ever

               thought possible.
