In the same way, we trust Father to feed us good stuff out of his
gospel. God only gives us good stuff — and he gives us
everything. He even gives us the Holy Spirit who tells us all the
good things of God that we’ve been given (I Cor 2:12).
Thus Paul calls the gospel ‘good news of good things.’
God wants us to receive good things from him, knowing the good
seed of his gospel will produce good fruit in our lives (Col 1:5-6).
Jesus says: “As you’ve freely received, so freely give.”
God is really smart! He knows if he plants apple seeds in us,
he is not going to raise pumpkins! What we receive into us is
what we release out of us.
“We cannot consistently act on the outside different from how we
think and believe on the inside.” It is also said we can fool
people part of the time, so the key word here is ‘consistently.’
The closer the RELATIONSHIP, the fewer the RULES! The more
broken the relationship, the more rules that are necessary.
Healthy children live in relationship with their dad. They have
passed from a life lived in rules into a life lived totally in love.
