LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

COLLABORATIVELY CREATING CLASS RULES AND ROUTINES

Years 1, 2 and 3 participated in group
activities on 9th and 10th September,
2019 to create their own rules in school.

Year 1 recorded their ideas on a paper
while others spoke about them and
designed posters on ‘Rules in class.’ Year
2 watched a video and comprehended the
necessity of washroom guidelines for
maintaining hygiene. Year 3 worked
collaboratively to create posters about
classroom rules.

PERFECTING COMMUNICATION SKILLS

The activity of Show and Tell has long been a well tested method of developing public speaking skills and building the confidence of children
from an early age. Year 3 students were all agog about the Show and Tell activity held in September 2019. They shared their thoughts and stories
about the treasured toys and objects they brought to school. It was sheer pleasure to hear them speak eloquently about their superheroes and
render the song, Superheroes.
