EVENT
UAE FLAG DAY
The Flag Day is yet another national event which is annually commemorated across the UAE with reverence. On 3rd November,
the DGPS fraternity joined in the nationwide celebrations. It was an occasion to remember the founding fathers of the Union who
came under one banner in single-hearted unity and chose its four expressive colours to be a symbol of every Emirati’s homeland.
Every student and staff in the
school paid respect to the flag
with a salute; this was followed
by the national anthem and
waving of the flag. Dubai Police
representatives, Mr. Al-Shamsi
and Mr. Al-Suwaidi, from the
Raffa branch graced the
occasion.
DGPS CELEBRATES UAE’S 48TH NATIONAL DAY
The clear November sky witnessed the pure expression of respect, gratitude and appreciation of the nation
by the students of DGPS. Their melodious rendition of the national anthem echoed in the clear surroundings.
The soft wisps of the fluttering flag seemed to accept the eulogy being paid to it by the students on its
48th anniversary. The radiant smiles and excitement epitomised the pride of students who consider UAE
as their home country.
An assembly held in the school auditorium explored the evolution of the UAE from its inception in 1960 to the
present day. Students hailed the culturally-diverse nation unrivalled in its achievements and leading globally
in the fields of sustainability, tolerance and development. To mark the occasion, students donned ethnic
clothes in the colours of the national flag. An air of exuberance reverberated through the auditorium.
