A RECORD NUMBER OF DONORS AT THE 10TH ANNUAL BLOOD DONATION DRIVE
Dubai Gem Private School, in association
with the Dubai Health Authority, hosted its
10th annual blood donation campaign on
November 21, 2019. The student-led
initiative is held every year, as DGPS
believes in giving back to the community.
Parents, teachers and secondary students
participated enthusiastically in the event.
This year, a record number of 87 donors
participated in this life-saving campaign.
The school is grateful to all the donors, and
looks forward to beating the record next
year!
BEAT DIABETES WALK 2019
On the morning of 15th November,
2019, 65 students of Dubai Gem joined
20,000 people of different ages and
nationalities at Zabeel Park. Participating in the three
kilometer walk, they pledged to lead an active and healthier
lifestyle.
The annual Beat Diabetes Walk also featured performances
and activities for children and adults, as well as free blood
tests. All proceeds were donated to the Al Jalila Foundation
to support diabetes research and its prevention in the UAE.
