We will work with Mercy College to establish times and locations for delivery of
equipment and materials on a weekly basis. Information will be reviewed at project
meetings under the review of look-ahead schedules. We will establish locations for
construction operations and locate storage and staging areas that will allow for an
effi cient sequence of construction which will be submitted to Mercy College for
Th is plan will be review and acceptance. We will continuously monitor the methods of providing a safe
environment for the public and occupants in and around this project. Th is process will

team throughout Barr & Barr will then work with the team to utilize and enforce the construction
procedures to create a comprehensively safe plan. Th e plan will address the issues of
the duration of the work hours, traffi c patterns, parking, truck routes/times, hoisting, staging and storage
areas. Additionally, we will develop a construction operations plan that will allow for

unsafe conditions.
ANALYSIS OF PROPOSED LOGISTICS
Barr & Barr’s main focus on every project within an active academic campus is to
isolate construction and minimize the impact to student, faculty, staff , visitors and
campus operations.
Given the location of Victory Hall on campus logistical planning is paramount.
Following this section is our preliminary project logistic plans that showcase how we
provide logistical strategy layouts to the owner for review and comment. Th e impacts
we impose on the campus must be reviewed with facilities, project management, and
Mercy College prior to any construction commencing.
SITE BOUNDARY & FENCING
We need to maximize the site boundary yet provide for pedestrian traffi c between
Victory Hall and the remainder of the Campus to the west. Th e existing emergency
exit on the east side (north wing) would be maintained and used as the second means
of egress only and the main entrance to Victory Hall during construction would remain
on the east side (south wing).
All delivery access would be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Box trucks and
Rack Body trucks exiting the site will require a spotter. Tractor Trailer deliveries will
require a fl agger.
Th e project site fence will be constructed with driven post and scrim for dust mitigation.
If required, a few removable panels would be incorporated into the fencing for access
to utilities requiring street tie-in.
Signage will be posted at all gate locations and a project sign will be provided. Specifi c
signage with respect to spotter requirements and safety will be posted at the site exit.
SITE LAY-DOWN AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
Site trailers will be placed in a central location for ease of running temporary telephone/
power.
On-site lay-down will be minimal given the constraints of the site. Subcontract
literature will mandate that all lay-down be off site. On site lay-down will be at the
sole discretion of the site superintendent.
Roll-off container placement will vary depending on stage of work. While placing
fi nishes, roll-off containers will be placed adjacent to the building with chutes for
debris removal.
