                   When  a  stopper  knot  will  see  only  temporary  use,  the
                   figure 8 with draw loop makes an excellent choice. This
                   knot releases quickly, as any draw loop does, by pulling on
                   the working end. The addition of the draw loop increases
                   the  size  of  the  standard  figure  8  if  a  larger  stopper  is
                   needed.  A  favorite  in  synthetic  ropes,  figure  8  knots,
                   even this one with a draw loop, may jam in wet ropes of
                   natural fibers. This knot is useful to climbers and boaters
                   as well as campers.
