IAGC & WRLC Host Regulatory Policy
Update E&P Luncheon
The IAGC and Western
Resources Legal Center (WRLC)
hosted an U.S. Policy Update
briefing for E&P Companies
on 19 February.
Representatives from Apache,
BHPBilliton, Chevron, ExxonMobil,
Occidental, Shell, and Statoil
gathered to hear updates on U.S. oil
and gas exploration and
development policy, challenges and
how to address them, as well as
trends in animal rights policy and
how they impact oil and gas
activities.
IAGC's Dustin Van Liew presented
on the most recent oil and gas
regulatory activities of the new
Administration and future policy
that may impact on exploration and development activities. WRLC's Executive Director, Caroline Lobdell
presented on significant cases that will impact oil and gas regulation and the important work of the WRLC
in ensuring natural resources industries have a voice in the natural resources arena.
Based in Portland, OR, the WRLC is currently the nation's only hands-on legal training program specializing
in legal education advocacy on behalf of natural resource users located throughout the United States. The
WRLC seeks legal issues that allow students to build practical skills and learn environmental and natural
resources law while advocating for natural resource entities. Persons or businesses interested in benefiting
from WRLC's legal services are welcome to submit an application for consideration HERE.
Dustin Van Liew is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors for the WRLC. Nikki Martin, the IAGC
President, also serves on the WRLC Board of Directors.
