NUSAS Teambuilding 2016

he NUSAS Teambuilding 2016 was held on 23 and
24 July 2016 in Samarahan 1 Campus. Based on the

Tconcept of ‘in-campus’ camping and station games,
nursing students of various semesters participated in
this teambuilding. Registration started as early as 6.30am,
followed by zumba. After lunch and prayer break, the
students were informed on 10 stations and the games. The night session included fashion show, sing along, cake cutting for
July babies and barbeque sessions. The night was called off after cleaning, and the students had the opportunity to sleep in the
nursing laboratory and camps around Block E and Anjung Seri. On the next day, the students took part in zumba, nursing skill
demonstration by the seniors, ‘3 Idiots’ movie show, group photos and cleaning up.

NUSAS Randau & AGM 2016

he brand new semester welcomed 58 new nursing students
to the programme. A simple yet meaningful welcoming
Tceremony was held on 18 June 2016, at Dewan Kuliah 3,
Samarahan 1 Campus. It started off with a gimmick by the
organizing committee mimicking the scenario in their practical
areas and how they handled their day in the mental ward. A prayer
was then recited to bless the ceremony, as well as to commemorate
the month of fasting. The project leader, Jeffery Sandom, gave
his welcoming speech and the NUSAS Randau was officiated by
Madam Dorothy Kulai, a senior nursing lecturer representing
Ketua Pusat Pengajian, Miss Norazlin Abdullah. This was followed
by the nursing pledge led by NUSAS President, Aieeza Nichole,
and she further introduced the NUSAS board members to the new
students. A short meeting was held to discuss the new NUSAS
logo, upcoming events and sale of NUSAS T-shirts and jackets.

It was very exciting and fun to watch creative performances by the seniors, namely, choral speaking and talent show gimmick to
give clue to the juniors to find their respective mentors. Besides, a video show by semester 5 seniors, best autograph book award
presentation, special performances by juniors and seniors, and a birthday surprise for June babies were also well executed. The
randau ended with the taking of group photos and distribution of food to students. This activity has become a platform for the
juniors and seniors to know each other better and work together in future activities.

BENGKEL PENGACARAAN MAJLIS

ada 20 Ogos 2016, satu bengkel pengacaraan majlis telah dianjurkan oleh Fakulti Pengurusan Perniagaan (Diploma
Pengurusan dan Teknologi Pejabat (BM118). Ianya diwajibkan kepada semua pelajar Semester 2 yang mengambil kursus
PBahasa Melayu Pengurusan Pejabat (BBM110). Seramai 61 orang pelajar hadir dan majlis dirasmikan oleh Puan Noor Shima
bt. Antony, Ketua Pusat Pengajian. Di antara objektif bengkel tersebut adalah menambah pengetahuan dan kemahiran asas
dalam bidang pengacaraan majlis, membina keyakinan diri dalam melaksanakan
tugas sebagai Pengacara Majlis dan menunjukkan cara-cara menyediakan
skrip ucapan yang betul serta tatacara merangka konsep pengacaraan majlis.
Penceramah yang dijemput adalah Encik Hazis bin Wahab, Penolong Pegawai
Kebudayaan, UiTM Sarawak. Sesi 1 dimulakan dengan sesi pengenalan dan sesi
2 adalah teknik latihan vokal serta mengawal pelat. Sesi 3 adalah latihan amali
di mana semua peserta diarahkan membaca skrip pengacaraan majlis dengan
nada dan jeda yang betul. Bengkel diakhiri dengan penyampaian hadiah kepada
penceramah dan sijil penyertaan kepada peserta.
