/recommendation by the FSDC on a semestral basis with the following
status/conditions:

13.1. On leave with (if with leave credits) or without (if without leave credits)
pay.
13.2. The grantee had secured scholarship to support the study extension
especially when they are to go on leave without pay.
13.3. With Permit to Study at grantee’s own expense during weekends.

14. NUMBER OF SCHOLARS/GRANTEES
The number of scholarship slots are as follows:

Regular Scholars: There shall be four (4) slots allowed for the
doctorate degree every after three years or less if grantees graduate
from their degree earlier than expected. However, this can be
increased subject to availability of funds.

15. PRESCRIPTIVE PERIOD TO COMPLETE THE DEGREE

15.1. From the end of the contract, the following grace period is given to
grantees to finish their degree or they are to pay back:
15.2. Master’s degree - one (1) year
15.3. Doctorate degree - one (1) year
15.4. Sabbatical Leave - one (1) year

16. REFUND OF SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

All scholarship benefits will have to be refunded/paid back by the grantee/scholar if
he/she was not able to finish his/her studies, achieve his/her objectives, at the end of
the contract. In this case, he/she must refund immediately upon demand by the
University.
