Foreign: Three years for every year or less of scholarship
grant.
Local: Two (2) years for every year or a fraction of not less
than iwo months of scholarship grant.
10.7. The grantee(s) shall refund in full to the University such amount as may have
been defrayed for his/her stipend, allowances, tuition fees and such other
scholarship privileges for any of the following:
10.7.1. Failure to render in full or in part the required length of service on
account of voluntary resignation, retirement or separation from the
service through his own fault and other causes within his/her school.
10.7.2. For being recalled following the cancellation of his/her
scholarship/grant due to his/her own fault or willful neglect, e.i. failing
grades and dismissal due to administrative delinquency.
10.7.3. Failure to finish the degree pursued as per schedule/timeline
approved by the University President as stipulated in the contract.
10.8. Non-submission of thesis/dissertation. The grantee/s shall refund in full to the
University any and all amounts given as thesis/dissertation support for failure
to submit a copy of the research work/book and reentry action plan to the FSD
Committee three (3) months after the end of the grant/leave.
11. TENURE OF SCHOLARSHIP/GRANT
The term of scholarship shall be as follows:
11.1. For masters’ degree-four semesters and one su mmer or six trimesters.
11.2. For doctoral degree-six semesters and two summers or nine
trimesters.
11.3. For Sabbatical Leave - maximum of one (1) year subject to
approval/confirmation by the Board.
12. RECALL OF SCHOLARS/GRANTEES
The scholar(s)/grantee(s) shall be recalled for any of the following reasons:
12.1. Expiration of the tenure of the scholarship/grant. All grantees, upon
expiration of the scholarship contract/grant/leave must report back to
the University, or else they will be considered absent without approved
leave (AWOL).
12.2. Acts in violation of the scholarship contract -
12.3. Conditions not met by the scholar while the scholarship is in force such
as failing grades and underload of subjects taken during the semester.
These, however, shall be upon the evaluation and recommendation by
the FSDC.
12.4. Unapproved engagement in contractual teaching in any institution or
taking lead roles in socio-economic activities at the time of the
scholarship where it is clear that they have sufficient time to render
service to the University.
13. EXTENSION OF SCHOLARSHIP/GRANT
The extension of the scholarship contract may be granted for a maximum of
two (2) semesters if with valid/justifiable reasons upon the evaluation
