Message
Our youths are the heartbeat of Singapore’s future, and they will determine where we go, as a nation,
beyond SG60. Over the past three decades, the NYAA Gold Award Holders’ Alumni (GAHA) has played
an important role in supporting our youths to reach the fullest of their potential and nurturing them
into leaders of character and purpose. GAHA has championed a spirit of service, empowering young
Singaporeans to make a lasting difference in their communities.
Through its “Service Beyond Gold” initiatives, GAHA has inspired thousands of youths to step up,
lead, and contribute to causes close to their hearts — whether in education, sustainability, social
inclusion, or community development. No one is too young to make a difference. Using their talent
and passions, GAHA members have made a meaningful impact on the community, both locally and
globally.
I am heartened by GAHA’s commitment to cultivating civic responsibility and intergenerational
bonds. Our collective strength lies in empowering youths to dream boldly and act with compassion.
This defines the “We First” spirit that we hope to see in all Singaporeans.
The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and the National Youth Council will continue to work
closely with the NYAA Council and GAHA to inspire more youths to contribute towards a more caring
and cohesive society.
Congratulations to GAHA on its 30th anniversary!
