Message
This 30th anniversary of the NYAA Gold Award Holders’ Alumni (GAHA) marks a significant milestone
in our collective journey of service and leadership. What began in 1995 with 18 pioneering Gold
Award recipients has grown into a thriving community of more than 6,000 members who are united
by a shared commitment to make a positive impact on society.
GAHA’s “Service Beyond Gold” ethos reminds us that our NYAA journey does not end with receiving
the Gold Award — it continues through the lives we touch and the communities we serve. Over the
years, GAHA members have contributed in diverse fields, from sustainability to social innovation,
from grassroots leadership to global diplomacy.
This commemorative book celebrates not just GAHA’s history, but also the remarkable stories of our
members who have turned passion into purpose. It reflects the enduring spirit of youth, the strength
of community, and the power of service in shaping a better tomorrow.
I extend my deepest gratitude to all GAHA members, partners, and supporters who have journeyed
with us. Together, we will continue inspiring future generations to lead, serve, and make a difference.
My special thanks go to the NYAA Secretariat for their tireless efforts in nurturing GAHA all these
years.
