The GAHA’s Story: Giving Back to Society

Since its founding in 1995 by the first cohort of NYAA Gold Award recipients, the NYAA Gold Award Holders’
Alumni (GAHA) has remained steadfast in its mission of ‘Service Beyond Gold’. Over the past three decades,
GAHA has brought together passionate individuals, harnessing their talents and experiences to serve the
community, uplift the less fortunate, and contribute to Singapore’s growth.

With the steadfast support of the National Youth Achievement Award Advisory Board and Council, GAHA has
provided an enduring platform for leadership, collaboration, and impact. Through diverse youth-led initiatives,
GAHA continues to inspire a culture of altruism and volunteerism — encouraging its members to dedicate
their time, expertise, and energy to caring for the needs of our society, especially the less privileged.

This commemorative book celebrates 60 NYAA Gold Award Holders from 1995 onwards to celebrate GAHA’s
                  30th Anniversary (1995 – 2025) as well as Singapore’s 60 years of independence (SG60). Their stories reflect a
shared spirit of purpose, compassion, and commitment, demonstrating that true achievement lies not only in
personal success but in the collective impact we create when we give back to society.
