• Various International Meetings and Events
NYAA representatives attended and participated
in events such as the APEC Voices Youth Summit in
Thailand, meetings with APEC officials, briefings on
the situation in Ukraine, and meetings with foreign
dignitaries and ambassadors.
• Young Southeast Asia Leaders Initiative
(YSEALI)

Cohort), represented Singapore at the YSEALI in Bangkok for the YSEALI Alumni Ties Seminar.

YSEALI Alumuni Ties Seminar in Bangkok.
• APEC Voices of the Future 2022
The APEC Voices of the Future 2022 was held in
Bangkok, Thailand, in November 2022. Attended by
120 young leaders from the 16 Economies from the
Asia Pacific region met to discuss the theme: “Open.
Connect. Balance”.
The forum provided a good platform for youth to APEC Voices Representatives with Prime Minister Prayut
discuss post-COVID-19 economic recovery in the Chan-o-cha of Thailand.
Asia Pacific region and addressed the imbalances
and inequalities exposed and exacerbated by the
pandemic. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha of
Thailand hosted the APEC Leaders’ Week.
NYAA Executive Director served as Chair of the
APEC Voices Leadership Council, and NYAA Deputy
Executive Director served as Chair APEC Voices 2023
Working Committee.

• International Swiss Talent Forum (ISTF) 2022
Representing NYAA, a five-member delegation from
ITE College East participated in the 11th International
Swiss Talent Forum held in Nottwil, Switzerland, in
July 2022.
The ITE team garnered recognition for their International Swiss Talent Forum Delegates, 2022.
outstanding sustainability project, “Chilled, Time to
Go Green.” By reducing the amount of ice in chilled
drinks to 50% of the cup volume, the team devised
a simple yet effective solution to decrease water and
electricity consumption, minimise waste, and lower
carbon emissions. The project has the potential to
be scaled up at a national level, positively influencing
consumer habits and simultaneously reducing carbon
emissions. The ITE students’ presentation at the ISTF
2022 impressed the Swiss organisers.
