Roles and Responsibilities
Communicates with the entire team (all departments)
GM Requests status reports from all zones including the front door and
Window
Reports any important information to all team members on the radio
Communicates information to the service team about allergies, food
Chef/ Window running, items that are “fresh out” and long ticket times
Calls a FOH leader to kitchen when necessary
Communicates zone performance
FOH Leaders Communicates with Window for allergies, ticket times and concerns
Lounge manager communicates open lounge tables to the host team
Guides the host setters/ service assistants on which tables to reset
Advises host setters/ service assistants of the number of settings
Host QB/ Coordinator needed for each table
Informs host setters/ service assistants of tables in queue to be bussed
Communicates reservation information over the headset
Calls a manager to the front door when necessary
Tells the host coordinator/ QB which tables are at the dessert and billing
stages (this helps him/her to know which tables will be available next)
Host Setters/ Service Assistants Communicates when they are bussing a table, allowing the host
coordinator/ QB to “stage” the guest
Announces when any table is ready to be sat (guests should be arriving
at to the table as this happens)
Room Service Wears a headset to allow strong communication and safety while
working in the hotel
Banquet Team Has a radio available to communicate with FOH and culinary leaders
All security team members wear headsets
Communicates with the management team to ensure a successful shift
Security Team (Shark Club) Radios before entering any situation to ensure safety
If attention is required in a certain area of the building, the manager
says “security to the dance floor” or “security to the front door” to call for
support to those locations
