AT THE INTERVIEW
Put Forward a Positive Image
Remember FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT
This is your one and only chance with this particular employer. It's
up to you to convince him or her that you're just the person they
want. So use the interview to "sell" yourself
The first two or three minutes are important in establishing rapport.
Try to develop a friendly approach; show interest in what is being
said. Remember you only have one chance at making a good first
impression
Take a moment to think about your answers. Listen carefully; speak
clearly and not too hurriedly
Be natural and honest. Do not exaggerate but be positive and
concentrate on your achievements and experience
Try to avoid "Yes" and "No" answers to questions. Support your
answer with examples and give reasons for your opinions
If the opportunity presents itself, try tactfully to steer the interview to
cover the points you feel are important
Be ready to ask questions - remember your preparation for the
interview
Make sure you know roughly when you will be informed of the
result of the interview
Don’t forget to thank the interviewer or panel when you leave
