When you get an interview - do not waste the opportunity

The employer is now seriously interested in the presentation you have given of
your skills, qualifications and potential commitment. This is a compliment to
you and if you had not looked suitable for the job, on paper at least, you
wouldn't have been offered an interview

You have probably been short-listed from dozens, maybe even hundreds of
applicants. You are doing well to have got this far

Confident people inspire confidence in others. If you feel confident and respect
your own worth, this will convey itself to the employer. (Do not go to the
extreme of appearing pushy and over-confident)

interviewed.

chance to find out
about the job at
first hand; to
discuss it with the
employer; meet
other people in the
organisation; look
at the establish-
ment; understand the product or service and its market; discuss the training
offered and the prospects of development within the organisation
