             road space for pedestrians and cyclists. The design
             philosophy is based on connecting busy places of the
             city but avoiding busy roads: for example, the first
             corridor  was  on  a  road  with  a  width  of  40m  and
             manageable  traffic  volumes  of  3000-  6000  PCU's
             along most stretches and of 6000-9000 PCUs along
             a few stretches.

                 The  BRT  system  has  an  operational  network

             in Ahmedabad. The project has given Ahmedabad a
