message to needy children around the world. When we moved to Georgia, she
established a clothing shop at Holy Trinity Church in Flowery Branch, Georgia,
which is still operating today providing free clothing all year to members of the
community. Last year she became a volunteer for the Good News Club at a

Norcross, Georgia, elementary school where the Gospel is taught in an after-school
program for second through fifth grade students.

Sue is very frugal and, as a result, has become a coupon specialist. From California
to New Jersey, people know her as the Coupon Lady. Once, recognizing the needs
of the poor and homeless, she became very concerned about helping to provide for
them, so she got to work clipping, collecting and using coupons to purchase food
for them. With about $200 and lots of coupons, she purchased over $700 in food

               products for the homeless.

She enjoys helping the needy. She has voluntarily worked in soup kitchens and has
delivered many necessities to remote areas no matter what it took. One time, I
remember that she drove up a dry creek bed in Arizona to provide Christmas gifts
to needy families. Another area of need she recognized and worked on was a

blanket drive for the poor, needy Indians in Arizona. She collected and delivered
blankets to them and then redelivered additional ones later since the first ones were
               used to cover window leaks.

While we were living in Arizona after my retirement, she taught math on a
volunteer basis to second, third and fourth graders – mainly native American
Indian children who lived in houses with mud floors. Since she recognized how

little they had, she distributed clothing and shoes twice a year to around 1,500 kids.
No one could ever emulate her involvement in giving to others.

Sue is very intelligent, especially when it comes to investing money and preparing
taxes. To get her attention, just give her a math problem or a tax question. Lately it
has been Sudoku; she loves it. But because she is so knowledgeable, she has an
opinion on practically every subject, which she usually expresses. We differ on the

importance of always expressing our views. Her former teacher training has
tended to develop her thinking towards a lecturing tone or approach. Due to my
prior childhood and military experiences, such an approach may have a negative
impact on me and may place me into a defensive mode. Being aware of this, we
are constantly working to improve our relationship.
