Anne is a passionate and very involved mom, stepmom, and granny. She lives for
her kids. She is totally supportive of their education, activities, and Christianity.
Their schedule becomes her schedule. I could not have a daughter that could be
any better mother to my grandkids than Anne. God provided me with the best

daughter a father could have. I would not replace her for anyone else.
My son, Gregory Herbert, followed his sister in birth by two years. He has many

positive characteristics. Being basically a home body, he can seem unsociable to
some people, but he can enjoy chatting as much as anyone. He can daydream and
fantasize. He is a loyal friend and a romantic. He is very patriotic and an excellent
problem solver. He has an innate mechanical ability with in-depth perception and
tends to be a perfectionist. Being of thin build, he is very strong. He was a Marine

and always will be a Marine. He has a high level of self-confidence. Greg is an
analytical thinker, which enticed him to become a mechanical engineer. He
received top honors at Cal Poly Tech. He is a design engineer for Mercury Marine.
Prior to that, he was “the engineer “at Polaris in designing their drive train for the
               Polaris Sportman 700.

When Greg decides to act, you’d better get out of his way. He doesn’t ponder. He
decides quickly and acts appropriately. He challenges himself, not others. He
believes that if he desires it, he will commit to it and make it happen. The strong
drive within him pushes him to do his own thing. If he had the funding, he should
have been an entrepreneur as he desires to depend only on himself. His analytical
way of thinking sometimes makes his following company policies and procedures
difficult. He becomes impatient with others’ inadequacies and will often take

matters into his own hands rather than tolerate those shortcomings. He needs to
consider the limitations in resolving technical problems. They often involve
politics and prior solutions. I tell him all the time, “Policies and procedures must
be followed.” He also needs a little diplomacy when handling people. Greg has no
interest in managing subordinates even though he has the skills and knowledge to

do so. He desires to be accountable only for his actions and his decisions. Humility
               is not a bad trait.

Unfortunately, Greg became a divorcee seven years ago. His marriage provided
him with two wonderful sons of which his life now centers around. No one could
