Duncan loop

This knot forms a sliding loop to attach a fishing line to a lure or reel spool arbor.

Take the tag end around the spool, or through the eye of the lure, and bring it back alongside its

own standing part. Then cross both parts of the monofilament with the end to form a loop (1). Pass
the end through the loop four or five times (2) to create a series of wrapping turns (3). Pull steadily
on the tag end to draw the turns together (4, 5).
