Sceneries of others with love

Sung-won Won, the artist who is weaving the images.

Contrary to the work of photo collages that suppress emotions, drawing work
expresses emotions. The processes of work are also quite different. The photo
written by journalist Yoon-chae Park(yoonbluu@naver.com) collage follows the exact plan, but the drawing draws an impromptu, unclean, and
honest image. The artist said that these two tasks are 'a child who has a similar
tendency is divided into two bifurcations'.
Won Sung Won, who had a solo exhibition at Arario Gal-
lery from May 11 to June 25, has released seven new work pieces,
<The Landscape of Others>, which has been delicately prepared
during two years of work. <The Landscape of Others> is the work
created from the observation and study of other peoples with
various occupations around the artist, and reinterpretation of the
story about their jobs as landscapes. The metaphorical landscape of
Sung-won Won that looks like a real space created by the unique
'photo collage'. We cannot find the codes she has hidden unless we
gaze her works as close as we can.
We're fundamentally incomplete and frail. We, sometimes are in-
fluenced by emotions, or collapse ourselves by trying to keep too
much reason. The process of making relationships with others is
also anxious as a fragile glass. Nevertheless, we struggle with oth-
ers and try to overcome the instability of the relationship. In the
end, the uneasiness of human relations are within ourselves be-
cause we value others as much as we do ourselves.
The artist, Won-sung Won, confesses her weakness without hes-
itation. She has wounds and lacks in human relationships that
work as codes of empathy because most people carry within. The
artist reflects and applies such an outspoken appearance in her
works. The artist's way of expressing the image while restraining
and spontaneously delivering her own emotions is a kinda heal-
ing process that is ejected from the desperation to overcome his
weakness. She observes the unstable view of others because it is
precious and studies to be more empathetic. She has 'power of

By looking at this image that expressed person's heart,
she would like to see it become a medium where others can speak their minds.
