when all men shall speak well of you! for so

did their fathers to the false prophets,” yet

we “bend over backwards” trying to be

liked and accepted by everyone. But being

overly congenial and accommodating in our

relationships with people is not an accurate

reflection of the character and holiness of

God — because, according to Psalm 5:4, God

is not a God that has pleasure in wickedness,

and Psalm 7:11 says, “God judgeth the

righteous, and God is angry with the wicked

every day.” Our responsibility as Christians is

to also convey our displeasure with sin and

wickedness, either verbally or by our

demeanor — and even in family life — which

will more than likely label us as unloving,

              hateful, judgmental, and/or pharisaical rather

than “loved by everyone” as is so often read
