FUNCTIONAL HIGHLIGHTS OF 2016-17
IMPRESSIVE PRINT ORDER GROWTH
Organic growth in the print industry has decelerated over the past 5 years and has been
further impacted with digital influx. This phenomenon has posed an acute challenge to the
BCCL group, particularly RMD. Despite these challenges and adverse market circumstances,
RMD managed to turn the tide in its favour by inducing growth; thus generating higher
market share and adding new readers. This was done by re-focussing on ‘Go-To-Market’
Strategy following the mantra of ‘copy by copy’ build up and ensuring quality sales and in the
process, effectively facilitating Response requirements.
Additionally, demonetisation posed its set of issues with trade. However, RMD converted it
into an opportunity and opened alternate payment channels to facilitate cashless sale of
