3. The FPD consults with private school officials throughout the school year to ensure that participation
by private school students is equitable to that of public school students.
4. The FPD makes every effort to help private schools expend 100% of program funds during the
school/fiscal year.
5. The FPD reviews data provided by private school officials to ensure that services provided under Title
I provide reasonable promise that private school students achieve the goals/standards applicable to private
school students as set by the school.
Providing Equitable Services to Teachers of Eligible Students
For funds reserved for professional development activities under Title I, Part A, and Title II, Part A, the
district will ensure that teachers of participating private/non-public school students take part on an
equitable basis as follows:
Title I
1. The FPD through meaningful consultation, will assist private school officials in setting-up professional
develop activities in accordance with grant requirements and the private school’s vision, mission, goals,
and Title plan(s). Professional Development activities for private school teachers should address how
teachers can better serve the participating Title I students, i.e. evidence-based reading and mathematics
instruction.
2. The FPD will inform the participating private/non-public school(s) of all district professional
development trainings/workshops in a timely manner.
3. The FPD will assist the private/non-public school(s) with logistics, should teacher(s) of participating
private school students wish to attend any of the professional development activities funded through Title
I.
Title II
1. The FPD through meaningful consultation, will assist private school officials in setting-up professional
develop activities in accordance with grant requirements and the private school’s vision, mission, goals,
and Title plan(s). Title II professional development activities for private school teachers should also
address how these teachers can better serve their students.
2. The FPD will inform the participating private/non-public school(s) of all district professional
development trainings/workshops in a timely manner.
3. The FPD will assist the private/non-public school(s) with logistics, should teacher(s) of participating
private school students wish to attend any of the applicable professional development activities funded
through Title II.
4. The FPD will work with private/non-public school(s) officials to collect and analyze data that provides
information on the effectiveness of the professional development.
Appropriate Use of Equipment and Supplies Purchased with Funds for Equitable Services- N4
HCSD, as the fiscal agent makes all purchases for participating private/non-public school(s). Therefore,
the private/non-public school receives services, not funds.
