Bumpin Brown Sugar Baked Ham
The brown sugar flavor of this ham trickling with sweet juices, and a caramelized
crisp on the edges will immediately send love notes to your taste buds and stomach.
This dish a star hands down.
Ingredients:
• 1 (10 pound) smoked bone in ham
• 1 ½ cup light brown sugar
• ½ cup honey
• ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preparation:
1. Adjust oven rack to fit large roasting pan. Preheat oven at 350 F.
2. Rinse ham in cold water. Place ham in large roasting pan. Cover with
foil and back for 1 hour and 45 mins.
3. Combine 1 ½ cup light brown sugar, ½ cup honey and ½ teaspoon
ground cinnamon in a saucepan and cook until the mixture is smooth
and the sugar has dissolved.
4. Remove ham from oven. Pour the brown sugar glaze over the ham
and continue roasting for another 1 hour 45 minutes. (Baste at least
twice with the drippings in the roaster).
5. Let ham sit for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve and enjoy.
