Harassment
Meaning any unwelcome conduct, harassment may be as slight as a photo, or as obstructive as
physical force or interference. Anything that is unwelcome by anyone receiving it could be harassment.
Sexual harassment is one form of harassment, and it is strictly forbidden. Under no circumstances will
harassment be tolerated in Rent-A-Center stores, trucks, or in customers’ homes.
Details of our sexual harassment policy are covered in your Coworker Handbook, but just like with our
Code of Conduct, if something seems like it might be wrong, then it probably is. We cannot stress this
enough: harassment, in any form, will not be tolerated and we take ALL complaints very seriously.

If you feel that you are being harassed, sexually or not, do not hesitate to discuss the issue with your
store manager. If the store manager is involved, contact your franchisee or your franchise consultant
                    immediately.

                    Review:
Now that you know how important it is to adhere to RAC’s code of conduct, take a moment to answer
the following question. WELCOME & ORIENTATION / COMMITMENT TO RESPECT / HARASSMENT

Which of the following are ways you could get yourself into trouble or fired if you fail to be respectful to
your coworkers and customers? (Check all that apply.)
o Texting or emailing adult jokes, pictures or videos to coworkers or customers
o Posting content to a social network while at work or violating the social network policies
o Telling adult jokes or using off-color remarks to coworkers or customers
o Taking ANYTHING other than monetary payment for merchandise
o Not logging payments into the point-of-sale system
o Selling, doing or soliciting drugs on RAC premises, in the RAC truck or in a customer’s home
o Inappropriately touching customers or coworkers
o Entering a customer’s home when no one is present; entering when no one over 18 is present
o Not leaving a customer’s home immediately after being asked
o Misrepresenting yourself by using your cell phone (instead of the office phone)
o Discussing account balances, renewal dates or other account information with anyone other
than the customer on the agreement
o Flirting or fraternizing with customers or potential customers

Did you check all of them? Good! Every one of these are examples of behavior that is not tolerated at
                    Rent-A-Center.

When it comes to conduct, keep

                                                          it between the lines.
