            According to the Charter, signed
         into law by President Gerald Ford in
         1976,

            “VOA will serve as a consistently
         reliable and authoritative source of
         news. VOA news will be accurate,
         objective, and comprehensive.”

            VOA journalist also rely on a journalistic code that

            lays out the standards for reporting accurate, objective, and
         comprehensive news. The Code establishes VOA’s principles and
         practices for “sourcing” stories, and ensuring accuracy, balance, fairness,
         context, and comprehensiveness.[VOA, 2012]

         BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation)

            BBC is the largest broadcasting corporation in the world with over
         20,000 people working full time or part-time. It was founded in 1922.
