         Omnidirectional

            Omnidirectional means capable of receiving
         or transmitting signals in all directions.

            An omnidirectional antenna sends and
         receives signals in all directions.

            Omnidirectional microphones pick up sounds
         from virtually any direction. This design in an
         environment where sound sources are moving and it is not practical to
         move the microphone along with them. It can come with some
         drawbacks, including muddy sound quality in some cases.
            Omnidirectional microphones can often be identified by their
         distinctive rounded ends, created by the bulging mesh installed over the

         electronic pick-up.

         Simulcasting

            Suppose there is an address to the nation by the Prime Minister of
         India, simultaneous transmission will be carried out by radio, and many
         TV networks. Simulcasting is a term used to describe the simultaneous
         transmission of a television and/or radio signal over two or more
         networks or two or more stations.( Doordarshan, Asianet, Sun network
         etc)


         Sound bite

            Sound bites are short clips of speech or music extracted from a
         longer piece of audio.

            It is characterized by a short phrase or sentence that deftly captures
         the essence of what the speaker is trying to say. Such key moments in
