Darbuka

                       Darbuka is a hand drum shaped like an hourglass or goblet that is popular in Middle
               Eastern cultures. Often referred to as a goblet drum, the Darbuka produces a distinct sound when
               musicians strike it with the palm of their hand or fingers. The Darbuka hitting technique differs
               from the usual drumming in that it doesn't have to be hit hard to produce sound. In contrast,
               musicians use a light hitting technique with the palms and fingers.

               Gambus

                       Gambus is a musical instrument that is played by picking. This musical instrument has a
               function as an accompaniment to the zapin dance and singing at weddings or thanksgiving events.
               This musical instrument is identical to the song that breathes Islam. In accompanying the singer,
               this instrument is also accompanied by other musical instruments, such as marwas to beautify the
               rhythm of the singing. Its unique shape, such as the shape of a chayote or water gourd, makes it
               easy to identify. The gambus musical instrument is also considered important in the Ghazal singing
               originating from the Middle East during the Malacca sultanate. The arrival of Middle Eastern
               traders at the time of the Malay Sultanate of Melaka had brought the culture of their society and
               introduced it to the people of the Malay Land.

                       There are several types of gambus that can be obtained anywhere, especially in the Malay
               land area. These types, such as gambus which only has three strings and there is also a gambus
               which has 12 strings. The number of strings usually depends on the player who played them.
               Besides  being  played  solo,  this  instrument  can  also  be  played  in  groups.  Gambus  musical
               instruments  can  be  played  in  traditional  or  modern  musical  associations.  When  collaborated
               between traditional and modern musical instruments, it will produce a melodious rhythm and has
               its own uniqueness.
