Eating Betel Dance (Offering Dance)
The eating betel dance is usually called the offering dance and is usually used to
welcome guests or the opening of certain events. This dance illustrates that Malays value
friendship and kinship
Makyong Dance
This dance is a type of dance drama that is strongly influenced by Malay culture.
Makyong is thought to have existed almost a century ago and is often performed on rice fields
after harvesting rice. The dance is performed by masked dancers and is accompanied by musical
instruments such as fiddles, drums, and tatawak.
