Zapin dance

                       Zapin  dance  has  long  developed  in  many  areas  in  Indonesia.  This  dance  is  heavily
               influenced by Arab culture and is full of religious content and values. This dance shows fast foot
               movements following the beat of the drum (marwas). Zapin was originally only performed by male
               dancers.


               Malay Traditional House


























                       The next form of culture from the Malays is their traditional house which is divided into
               several types. This type of Malay traditional house has a different shape and different functions.
               Well, the types of Malay traditional houses include:

                   1.  The Selaso Traditional House of Twin Falls
                       This first traditional house is often found in the Riau Province area which is often used for
               association activities. In form, this house is quite large and there are levels in the house.


                   2.  Cut Limas
                       The name of this traditional house is adjusted to the shape of the roof in the form of a
               truncated pyramid. This house, like most other Malay houses, is shaped on stilts and made of wood.

                   3.  Folding Awning
                       In  contrast  to  the traditional limas cut  house, the traditional folding kajang house is  a
               traditional house with a curved roof. The purpose of making a curved roof that resembles a steep
               ridge is to make it easier for rainwater to fall from the roof.

                   4.  The Siak Sultan's Shelter
                       The  next  traditional  house  is  dubbed  the  Sultan  Siak  halfway  house  which  functions
               according to its name. This house was used by the Sultan of Siak named Sultan Syarif Kasim II as
