Laptops
Managers will need to raise at the Critical Resourcing Panel the need for
redeployed staff to have a laptop. This is confirmed to the SmartWorking

rucksack with all required power leads, connectors and cables.
Issuing the laptop:
1. Staff member arrives at Town Hall carpark to collect laptop
2. Staff member validates name to SmartWorking team member, pops boot of car.
SmartWorking team will supply screen (if applicable) and a laptop
3. When you return home, follow the written steps provided along with your laptop regarding Bit
Locker and password change; watch the “getting started” video, follow the link to the Smart
Working learning site which includes options to join webinars on Skype and more info on
differences between Windows 8 and Windows 10.
Mobile phones
The manager should still complete the mobile request form and the Critical
Resourcing Panel will confirm lists of required mobile phones to ICT via the
Resources Bronze group. Mobile phones will be couriered to an address of
choice by the manager and remote sessions offered for setting up smart
