Manufacturing in Canada accounted
for 29% of its GDP in 1944 (WWII),
declining to 15.6% in 2005. It was
especially hit hard by the financial cri-
sis of 2007-08. As of 2010, manufac-
turing accounts for 13% of Canada’s
GDP. Bombardier Aerospace is the
3rd largest manufacturer of commer-
cial aircraft in the world.
Canada is a lead exporter with
export goods like motor vehicles and
parts, industrial machinery, aircraft, tele-
communications equipment, chemicals, plastics, fertilizers, wood pulp, timber,
crude petroleum, natural gas, electricity, aluminium.
