PROGRAM ACTIVITIES & SPATIAL FEATURES
ACTIVITIES
Interdisciplinary, project-based learning in areas of science,
technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Self-directed study,
team-based project collaboration. Hands-on lab experimentation and
demonstration. Arts-based projects and “Maker” Space for building/
crafting + investigating. Computer-based digital arts and technology-
based lessons and work, ability to film project process and create
Castilleja Bourn Lab a digital presentation of projects and ideas. Engineering/Robotics-
based teamwork and project-based learning.
SPATIAL FEATURES
Furniture
Flexible, mobile furniture and furnishings to support active learning,
located utilities at ceiling or perimeter of classroom.
Finishes
Flooring should be resilient and durable, able to resist acids and paint
