Chapter 5 Entrance and Exit Photo-Eyes

            VP Photo-Eye

               Overview
There are two types of mounts available. The floor mounted and the wall mounted. Both styles
are wired the same but they have different variables to consider for positioning. DO NOT secure
the Photo Eyes into place until you have read this entire section.

               Identification

               Alignment
                   4) Point the Emitter directly at the Receiver
                   5) Point the Receiver directly at the Emitter
                   6) Finely adjust the position of the Receiver until “Indicator 4” of the Signal Strength Light
                       Bar is ON

Note: If Indicator 4 of the Signal Strength Light Bar can NOT be obtained, try re-
adjusting the Emitter and repeat step 3.

               Working Temperature Range
                   • Non-Heated: 33° to 130° Fahrenheit
                   • Heated: -10° to 90° Fahrenheit

Note: If optional heat package has been installed, turn the power to the heat OFF before the
temperature exceeds 90° Fahrenheit. Turn it back ON before the temperature falls below
                          33° Fahrenheit.

               Modulation Frequency

The standard configuration for the Photo Eyes is to utilize
Frequency A, shown in the image to the right. However, if your
FressStyler® is equipped with an On-Board Wheel Cleaner, the
Photo Eyes will need to be configured to utilize frequency B to
avoid any “Photo Eye Cross-Talk”. In this case both the emitter
and the receiver must be wired for frequency B.
