Adjusting the Proximity Targets
Three Points of Adjustment
2) Rate of application swing by adjusting Hydraulic Flow Control. This controls the flow coming out of
the cylinder.
During the application swing, hydraulic fluid is being forced from the cylinder through the hydraulic valve into
the oil reservior. By adjusting the valve, the rate at which the cylinder may extend is effected.
See images below to identify the important components for proper adjustments.

Turning counter-clockwise will increase
the speed of cylinder motion

This is what’s called a “High-Resolution
Valve”, meaning it takes more turning to
notice the change in performance

Note: An excellent way to set the swing rate is to observe the dollies passing under the
driver side manifold (arm). Set the swing rate to match their speed.

3) Rate of return swing by adjusting Pneumatic Flow Control
Located on the Control Panel (shown below) is a pneumatic flow control. Turning it clockwise will slow return
swing speed, just as turning it counter-clockwise will increase return swing speed.

speed
