INSTALLATION & STARTUP

Chapter 6 Frame and Carriage Assembly

                      Frame Assembly (Hybrid Frame)
For Saber® customers unable to support a standard wall mount installation we have configured a half wall-mount half floor-
mount frame called the Saber® Hybrid Frame. This frame configuration does not provide the same structural integrity as a
full floor-mount frame or a full wall-mount frame because it adds additional bending stress to the walls. In addition, this
frame can not be used with a head-beam that extends over 17 feet wide. Based on strength limitations the Saber® Hybrid
Frame is only suitable for a Saber® installed in a bay between 12 feet – 3 inches to 17 feet wide; or a Saber with Side
Kicks® dryers installed in a bay between 14 feet – 8 inches to 17 feet wide.
Side Kick® dryers and mounting brackets are sold separately.
For this section you will need four “C” clamps and 3 levels.

                          Specifications:

                             · Bay Width Maximum: 17 feet (204”)
                             · Bay Width Minimum: 12’ - 3’’ (147”)
                             · Bay Height: 130’’ (For 88’’ of vehicle clearance)
                             · Bay Length: 32 feet (384”), this is for a 21’ - 10’’ (262”).
Before installation begins a measurement of bay width is necessary.

Measure and write down the bay width on the line(s) below.

Bay Width ________ feet ________ inches

                          Preparing the Crossbeams
The crossbeams ship at a length of 164”. At that size, they can accommodate a bay width up
to 17 feet (204”) and as narrow as 14 feet (186”).

When installing in a bay that has a width less than 14 feet, the crossbeams will have to be cut
to a length of 4” shorter than the bay width to accomdate the Wall Mount Clamps.
