Installation

Auto Retract
Photo-Eye Mount Installation
3) Install the two End Caps to each of the Photo-Eye Mounts (one on the top and one on the
bottom of each). See the images below.
 Install the threaded Sensitivity Reducer onto the Upper Receiver on the passenger side
as shown below.

Wiring for the Auto Retract
The information below defines the electrical connections required for proper operation of the
TopWinder® Auto-Retract.

 Wire the Pneumatic Retract Cylinder to
Upper Receiver NAMED 6 Output Y20 or NAMED 7 Output
Y21.
Brown + 340 (24VDC)
 DO NOT run any of these wires through
Blue - 338 (DC COM) the crossbeam.
Black (Signal) X10  Once wired, confirm that both Auto-
Retract Upper and Lower inputs are ON
Lower Receiver by verifying that the LED’s of the Output
Board are ON.
Brown + 340 (24VDC)
 Block each Receiver (one at a time) and
Blue - 338 (DC COM) confirm that the correct Input turns OFF.
Blocking the Emitter may not turn off
Black (Signal) X11 Input.

Upper and Lower Emitter  If the upper Auto-Retract Input does not
come ON, adjustment may be required.
Gray + 340 (24VDC) Do so by loosening the Photo Eye tube
on the passenger side and rotate the tube
Black - 338 (DC COM) until the Input is ON and remains ON.
