Shared coordinates
Shared Coordinates terminology
Udtryk Description Figur
To share the coordinate system so that files have a
Shared Coordinates common 0 point. This keeps track of locations relative
to other files.
Used to retrieve coordinates from a linked file. The file
can be in RVT, DWG or DXF format. The host project
also retrieves the true project's true north in Revit
Acquire called True North.
Shared Coordinates Retrieving the coordinate from a DWG or DXF file is
the DWG / DXF file's WSG 0.0 that is retrieved. The
DWG / DXF file y-axis becomes the host project's True
North.
Used to transfer coordinates to a linked project. This
will change the linked project coordinate system to
match the host project coordinate system. If a linked
project is copied multiple times in a host project, their
Publish position can be saved.
Shared Coordinates If a building project is to be used multiple times in the
same scenario, a link file can be copied into the host
file and multiple coordinate sets can be created via the
linked file properties. Here, the Shared Site parameter
is used which allows access to the linked file's Sites.
True North is the rotation of the project. Instead of
rotating the model to the north, rotate the True North
True North
parameter and thus maintain a Project North for its
floor plans.
A Revit project may contain more Sites. This means
Sites that a single project can be placed in several places,
for example in residential complexes.
Project Base Point defines the project's 0 point. It is
Project Base Point this point that relates to when a coordinate is annotated
with a spot coordinate set to "Project" coordinates.
This point defines the coordinate system and can be
placed at a known point. It is this point that is referred
Survey Point
to when a coordinate is annotated with a spot
coordinate set to "Shared" coordinates
