Below a short description of detail capabilities of Revit.

Annotate ► Detail

Detail Line: Lines from Type Selector in different
thicknesses as well as line types.

Region: A hatching area bounded by lines.

Masking Region: An area that hides underlying
information.

Detail Component: 2D Families consisting of components
(Load Family).
Repeating Detail: Repeated detail consisting of Detail
Components.

Detail Groups: Groups of details.

Insulation: Function to draw soft insulation.

Symbol: Inserts symbol such as North arrow.
