Linking DWG
There are many manufacturers and others who have added dwg files with details on the internet
that can be used in Revit.
Insert ► Link ► Link CAD
The function can also be used for insertion of e.g. AutoCAD floor
plans as a basis for design in Revit.

Current View only: The associated file is only visible in the current View.
This checkmark is removed if a 3D file can be viewed and used in Revit, for
example. terrain.
Orient to View: If choosing that imported, for example, must be placed on Opstalt.
Unchecked is placed at the level that is being worked on.
Colors: This allows you to control how the DWG file should look in Revit.
Invert: Many colors are in AutoCAD set to black background, and Revit is set
by default with white. Invert makes dark colors bright and bright colors
dark.
Preserve: Maintains colors.
Black and White: Everything is black and white.
Layers: Ability to control which layers are included with the DWG file.
All: All layers.
Visible: On / visible layer.
Specify: Choose from a list.
Imports Units: Here you set up the unit from which the file from CAD is based.
Positioning: Location of file.
Manuel - Center: Placed manually on the basis of CAD graphic file's center point.
