               WORKSHOP SPEAKERS







                                                              Dr. Shirley Burnett has served as the Coordinator of
                                                              Mathematics in University College at Jackson State Univer-    CONFERENCE SPEAKERS  ž
                                                              sity since 2009. In this position, her sole responsibility is
                                                              to develop and implement best practices in developmental
                                                              and intermediate mathematics courses. She has earned a
                                                              doctorate in Educational Leadership with Specialization in
                                                              Curriculum and Instruction, a master’s degree in Mathe-
                                                              matical Sciences, and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics
                                                              Secondary Education. She is also a Developmental Educa-
                                                              tion Specialist certified through the Kellogg Institute and
                                                              also holds a Class AAAA Educator License in Mathematics
                                                              (7-12).
          Cleveland O. Lane, Jr., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in
          the Brailsford College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of
          Biology at Prairie View A&M University. His academic re-
          sponsibilities include teaching Anatomy and Physiology for
          majors and non-majors and Gross anatomy. He is also the
          Director for the Anatomical Visualization and Simulation
          Center (AVASC).

          Dr. Lane has spoken at numerous conferences discussing
          integration of technology into undergraduate instruction.
          This includes TAMU Teaching with Technology confer-
          ence, Anatomage user group conference, Human Anatomy
          and  Physiology  Society,  McGraw-Hill  Innovative  Teach-
          ing Summit, PVAMU S.M.A.R.T. Technology Summit and
          China Medical University, Taiwan.  His achievements in-
          clude Texas A&M University System Chancellor’s Acade-  Mrs. Stacy Davison has been a math instructor in Univer-

          the Year.
