consciousness, the higher is our evolution. Needless to say, the Sun and the
Moon are responsible for our light and well-being on Earth, thanks to the
various biological processes and the yearly seasons. But these luminaries

So many people are wondering how the total lunar eclipse on January 31,

2018 will affect humanity physically, mentally and spiritually. In the vedic
           philosophy, Jyotisha and other Vedic
scriptures, it’s pretty obvious that the rishis, astronomers and astrologers

Veda. Similarly, the Surya Siddhanta and Bhagavata Purana mention
calculations of the eclipses and the reasons for them, respectively. Another
example can be seen in the Ramayana when King Dasharatha, Rama’s
father, expresses his concern for the upcoming transit of the north lunar

the eclipses. Again, in the Ramayana, when Rama was about to battle

eclipse. Another epic eclipse was mentioned in the Mahabharata when
Krishna calculated a solar eclipse that would benefit Arjuna and grant
                                            him victory at Kurukshetra.

It is said that an eclipse affects every being on earth due to its significant
amounts of radiation, and its impact on human consciousness and all life
