19. Job abandonment, meaning the failure to report to work without properly notifying one’s immediate
supervisor, or leaving a job assignment prior to completion of your responsibilities
20. Unauthorized use or removal of company or guest supplies, information, equipment, funds, or computer
codes/passwords
21. Knowingly mishandling a guest’s or potential guest’s account, including improper discriminatory practices
22. Irregularities in money entrusted to you
23. Refusing to repay or report documented overpayment of any compensation
24. Possessing firearms or other weapons while on your shift; or threatening the personal safety of fellow
employees, guests, or vendors
25. Repeatedly working overtime without prior approval of a supervisor or manager
26. Repeatedly failing to meet job responsibilities, job budget, or quality requirements
27. Smoking in unauthorized places or while on duty
28. Violating safety rules or acting in a way that may be dangerous to yourself or others
29. Engaging in sexual activity while at work
30. Loitering, loafing, or sleeping on the job
31. Bringing individuals who are not employed by Bunkhouse into unauthorized areas
32. Excessive use of company telephone or personal cellular phone calls
33. Disclosing confidential information about the company, its employees, or guests
34. Leaving work before the end of a work day or not being ready to work at the start of a work day
35. Failure to maintain a neat appearance in terms of the standards established by your manager
36. Consuming food and drink in undesignated areas or at your workstation
SMOKING
We recognize the need for many of our employees to work in a smoke free environment. We also recognize the rights
of our employees who choose to smoke as long as these decisions do not interfere with the rights of other workers.
Smoking is permitted only during authorized break times and in designated areas, out of sight of the company
guests.
CASH SHORTAGE AND BREAKAGE
If your position requires you to handle cash, you may be asked to sign an acknowledgment of the company’s audit
and disciplinary procedures in the event of shortages. Any cash shortage, breakage, loss of equipment, or guest
property must be reported to a manager immediately. If there is ever cash shortage, breakage, loss of equipment,
or guest property due to a dishonest or willful act, or by your negligence, you will be subject to disciplinary action
including termination.
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
To avoid any possible conflicts of interest, it is your responsibility to immediately report any offers of gifts, loans,
misuse of Bunkhouse funds, kickbacks, rebates, or refunds that come to your knowledge through your position as an
employee of Bunkhouse.
The company has no objections to your holding another job as long as you can effectively meet the performance
standards for your position in the company. What you do on your free time is your own business. However, we ask
you to think about the effects your actions, such as extra work, may have on your endurance, overall personal
health, and effectiveness with the company. The company will hold all employees to the same standards of
