Kent Pietsch flew three stunning
performance in his yellow “Jelly
Belly” Interstate Cadet. These
included a comedy act that
featuring an aileron detaching
from the wing of his aircraft and
fluttering to the ground with
maneuvers that looked more like
an accident waiting to happen
than controlled flight. He ended
the performance with a perfect
landing, balancing the Cadet on
the main landing gear wheels
while taxing. His second act was a
dead-stick routine with graceful
aerobatics from 6,000 feet,
making a smooth landing and a precise stop to the outstretched hand of a spectator waiting at the taxiway.
A most daring act was Kent landing his Cadet on a moving platform mounted on a pick-up truck and taking off
from it again.
Kent really showed his incredible flying skills making his performances a favorite at airshows.
