Elder line is presently serving the aged population of the district

and the give number is serving them , from this the elders in the
district can get the following services ;
· Information
· Counseling
· Reporting of abuses

Elder line volunteers (Friendly Visitors) formation in Maraud
Elder line works with the help of dedicated volunteers from each
ward. In each ward there is 6 volunteers dedicatedly formed till

now about 33 ward are having this 6 member group.

Ÿ Provide BLS training to the drivers

Age –Friendly Paravoor

A s a part of Age-Friendly Ernakulum, an inauguration programme was

conducted to introduce Paravoor as an Age-Friendly Municipality in
Ambedkar Park on 10th November 2015. The Age-Friendly Paravoor was
inaugurated by Adv. V D Satheesan, Paravoor MLA in the presence Adv. Eldhose P
Kunnappilly, Ernakulam District Panchayath President, Paravoor Municipal
Chairperson, S Jayakrishnan, C I of Police North Paravoor, T.V Shibu, S I of Police North
Paravoor .The Tour programme was flag off by S.Jayakrishnan, CI of Police N.paravoor
and “SENIOR TAXI” was flag off by T.V Shibu, SI north paravoor. A rally was conducted
across Paravoor city with senior citizen for awaking the community about the
importance of loving and caring them. As part of the programme, a one day tour
programme was arranged a boating on marine drive and celebration programmes in
Chavakkad beach for the seniors from Paravoor and the programme was coordinated by

Adv. Eldose P Kunnappilly.
