Connecting Beyond Chapter Meetings

At many of our chapters, friendships and connections are formed that extend beyond monthly meetings. Our
CA, San Jose-2 chapter, led by Polly Ferguson, has been meeting and supporting our mission since 2009.
In addition to raising more than $150,000 for Together Women Rise, this chapter has also sponsored the
education of two girls, funded a woman’s obstetric fistula operation, provided playground equipment for a
preschool and a protective fence for an elementary school in Kenya, and more!

The OH, Hudson-1 chapter, led by
Tamara and Rachel Peterson, is a
multigenerational chapter that has
been meeting for nearly 10 years. The
chapter is active in its local community,
promoting Together Women Rise at
parades and farmers’ markets, and
holding an annual fundraising dinner.

The GA, Cumming-1 chapter,
led by Jen Walters and Sharon
Christiansen, loves to stay
connected to local needs as much
as those around the world. They
have assembled and donated
“family-time” baskets for foster
families and care packages for
social workers for a local nonprofit.
